A lobsterman hauling traps off the coast of Maine. A ranch hand outside Billings checking fence lines before the sun clears the ridge. A jazz musician in New Orleans just home from a late set, who has not slept, and does not intend to.

They all know something the rest of the world has not yet figured out: the day does not begin gently. It does not ease you in. The day arrives the way a strong cup of black coffee arrives...dark, certain and unapologetic.

We thought about that for a long time.

Then we made a soap.

BLACK COFFEE soap is not for the person who requires lavender. It is not for the person who requires coaxing. It is for the person who steps into the shower the way a long-haul trucker pulls onto an empty interstate at dawn — purposefully, with no illusions about what lies ahead.

Rich with the deep, roasted character of real coffee, it lathers into something that can only be described as morning itself; dark, warm, browni-esque in a way no one entirely expects, and entirely better for it. Shea butter, because even the most capable people deserve something quietly luxurious, rounds the whole affair into a bar that leaves skin moisturized, awake, and ready.

Coconut oil. Olive oil. Rice bran. Castor. The good things. No shortcuts. No palm oil. Handcrafted in small batches by someone who takes these matters seriously.
